This is my birthday week. I don\u2019t tell you that to get birthday greetings.\u00a0 I tell you that so I can share my experience.\u00a0 On the morning of \u201cmy day”, I was driving to work with my husband.\u00a0 It\u2019s a short commute.\u00a0 The car had been sitting, idling to warm up, when we got in.\u00a0 The radio was on, but I wasn\u2019t really paying attention until the music started to play.\u2026.Dear Younger Me<\/em>, by MercyMe.\u00a0 I turned to my husband and said, \u201cMy birthday song is on!!\u201d\u00a0 He listened for a second and began to laugh.<\/p>\n

Music moves me.\u00a0 It can lift my mood, calm me down, get me on my feet.\u00a0 Dear Younger Me<\/em> speaks to my heart and is especially meaningful on my birthday.\u00a0 As I\u2019ve grown in years, I hope I\u2019ve also grown in wisdom. Oh how I wish I could change some of the choices that I\u2019ve made, but those are the choices that made me who I am today.\u00a0 Even though I love this crazy life and sometimes I wish it were a smoother ride, I know it\u2019s exactly what I needed.\u00a0 Hold onto your past long enough to learn from it….then let it go.<\/p>\n
